AI Call Agent for Event Attendance
We built an AI calling agent that confirms event attendance and automatically offers open spots to the waitlist. Using Gemini Live + calling tools for natural conversations, the agent reduces the 20–40% no-shows typical for free events and ensures seats are filled.
Technical Excellence:
Our demo shows an end-to-end flow: upload attendee/waitlist data → Gemini generates live call dialogue → event organizer triggers the agent to phone participants to see if they are available → responses update in a Vite + TanStack Query frontend backed by a Convex backend. If someone declines, Gemini routes logic to call a waitlist participant in real time, with live dashboard updates.

Chaining to handle confirm/decline/no-answer cases.
Optional personalization by feeding in event description.
Impact & Innovation:
This workflow extends beyond events to healthcare, webinars, and training—any domain where no-shows reduce capacity. Future integrations (e.g. direct with Luma or eventbrite) make it instantly adoptable for organizers.

the initial scaffold for tanstack with better auth was built beforehand. all the features for ngrok and gemini live and the meetup ui were build during this hackathon
