Announcing!! The AI Tinkerers Toronto September 2025 Hackathon hosted at Google!

Thrilled to announce that Google Cloud x AI Tinkerers Toronto have partnered up to host our very first AI/ML Hackathon, produced by the Human Feedback Foundation.

Theme: Agentic AI — From Prompt to Partner
Build the future of AI agents and multi-agent systems using Google Cloud’s Agentspace runtime, Gemini foundation models, Vertex AI, and the Agent Development Kit (ADK).

Why attend? You’ll get to hear from leading experts and see live demos of brand-new tools. You’ll work in teams of 3 or more to design and build autonomous, domain-specific AI agents that create real-world impact, with expert mentors available to help support you. You are welcome to bring an idea you’ve already been exploring (just be clear about your net-new contributions) or start fresh and see how far you can get in a single day — because with AI-assisted coding, the “impossible” suddenly becomes possible.

Bonus points for human-in-the-loop, human-AI agent teaming, creative HCI, and human-centered AI projects, and of course for using open source and the latest Google products mentioned above

Hackathon details

Registration deadline: Sept 23, approvals in by Sept 24th. We move with the speed of AI!

Teams: Please form teams of 3-6 people. People can either form their own teams or join the teams that exist on the hackathon platform; those approved will get access to it right away.

Timing: We will only have about 30min reserved for team matching at the event itself, which is heavily optimized to maximize hacking time. So please please form a team or join one BEFORE the event.

What is AI Tinkerers?

AI Tinkerers is a meetup designed exclusively for practitioners who possess technical, machine learning, and entrepreneurial backgrounds and are actively building and working with foundation models, such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI. If you’re deeply passionate about creating LLM-enabled applications, have hands-on experience in building such systems, and are eager to connect with like-minded individuals who share your level of commitment, then this group is the perfect fit for you.
