aming-claw: A Governance Control Plane for AI Coding Agents
aming-claw is an open-source, MCP-native governance control plane for AI coding tools like Claude and Codex. It turns AI-assisted development from a black box into a white-box workflow: humans give intent and judgment, while AI agents share a backlog, a commit-bound code graph, and a timeline of contract-gated events — so every change AI makes is visible, auditable, and reviewable.
In this demo I’ll do a live walkthrough: I’ll show the working system, the governance layer in action (backlog + commit-bound graph + timeline contracts), and how an AI agent can only orchestrate work through shared state, commit-bound truth, and contract rules. I’ll demo a real run where a change flows through the contract gate before multi-agent work executes.
Aming Claw manages source-controlled graph semantics using CLI-driven AI-enrichment.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)MCP is the open-source standard for securely connecting AI agents (like LLMs) to external tools, data, and enterprise workflows. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) functions as a standardized integration layer: think of it as a USB-C port for AI applications. Developed and open-sourced by Anthropic, this protocol allows large language models (LLMs) to access real-time context and execute actions via external tools like GitHub, Jira, or proprietary databases . It uses a simple JSON-RPC interface to define tools, schemas, and endpoints, which enables AI agents to perform complex, state-changing tasks—such as creating a GitHub issue or running a test script—rather than just generating text . MCP is essential for building agentic AI systems that can autonomously pursue goals and operate within defined safety and permission boundaries .
- PythonPython: The high-level, general-purpose language built for readability, powering everything from web backends to advanced machine learning models.Python is the high-level, general-purpose language prioritizing clear, readable syntax (via significant indentation), ensuring rapid development for any team . Its ecosystem is massive: use it for robust web development with frameworks like Django and Flask, or leverage its power in data science with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy . The Python Package Index (PyPI) provides thousands of community-contributed modules, offering immediate solutions for tasks from network programming to GUI creation . The language is actively maintained by the Python Software Foundation (PSF), with the stable release currently at Python 3.14.0 (as of November 2025) .
- ClaudeClaude is Anthropic's flagship family of large language models (LLMs): a high-performance, Constitutional AI system built for safety, complex reasoning, and expert-level collaboration.Claude is a next-generation AI assistant developed by Anthropic, a research firm prioritizing AI safety. The models (including Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku) leverage Constitutional AI to ensure helpful, honest, and harmless outputs, a key differentiator from competitors. Claude excels at complex enterprise tasks: processing massive context windows for in-depth data analysis, generating and reviewing code, and providing expert-level summarization for documents up to 200,000 tokens. It is deployed as a conversational chatbot and via API, offering scalable AI solutions for developers and businesses.
- CodexCodex is OpenAI's autonomous AI software engineering agent: it executes full development tasks in a sandboxed cloud environment.Codex is the advanced, cloud-based software engineering agent from OpenAI, built on a specialized model like `codex-1` (a fine-tuned version of `o3`). It operates on an asynchronous delegation model, allowing developers to assign complete tasks—not just receive suggestions—via the ChatGPT interface. The agent works independently in a secure, isolated cloud container provisioned with the user's GitHub repository and environment. It reads code, writes new features, fixes bugs, runs tests, and drafts Pull Requests (PRs) for review, significantly accelerating the development lifecycle. Access is provided through ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Enterprise plans.
- GitGit is the distributed version control system (DVCS) that tracks source code changes, ensuring data integrity and enabling non-linear development workflows.Git is the free, open-source distributed version control system (DVCS) created by Linus Torvalds in 2005 to manage the Linux kernel. Engineered for speed and efficiency, it handles projects from small to extremely large, storing the entire 1.4 million commit history of the Linux project in only 5.5 GB . Its core design supports non-linear development (branching/merging) and guarantees data integrity via cryptographic hashing. According to a 2022 Stack Overflow survey, 96% of professional developers use Git, making it the industry standard for collaborative software development .
